Thomas J. O’ Rourke, CCE
Tom O’Rourke has led the Neponset River Regional Chamber since 2010, bringing over 30 years of experience in nonprofit and Chamber of Commerce management. Under his leadership, the Chamber has grown to serve more than 450 member businesses across a 12-town region southwest of Boston. His tenure is marked by a commitment to community engagement, strategic partnerships, and a focus on enhancing the regional business climate.mswwb.org
Before joining the Neponset River Regional Chamber, Tom served as President of the Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce for five years. His career also includes leadership roles at the United Way of Greater Plymouth County and the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce. He began his career as Director of Membership Development at the Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce.mswwb.org
Tom holds the Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) designation, a testament to his expertise and dedication to the profession. His leadership is characterized by a focus on fiscal responsibility, community collaboration, and the development of resources and volunteers to support the Chamber’s mission.
Meet our Member Engagement Manager
Abbie supports the Neponset River Regional Chamber’s initiatives and ongoing work with the local business community. She brings a background in research, project management, and community-focused strategy, along with a strong interest in economic development and small business support.
As the founder of Unify, a venture designed to strengthen institutional communities, Abigail led strategy, partnerships, and operations from concept through beta launch. Her work included conducting more than 1,000 stakeholder interviews to inform product development, outreach, and program design, helping translate community insights into actionable initiatives.

Abbie holds a Bachelor of Science in Sustainability and Business from the University of New England, with minors in Economics and Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Her academic background, combined with hands-on experience, reflects a commitment to strengthening local business ecosystems through thoughtful engagement, collaboration, and strategic execution.
