The Center for Women & Enterprise is a nationally known nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people start and grow their businesses. CWE has worked with more than 46,000 Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Vermont entrepreneurs since 1995. CWE also operates the Veterans Business Outreach Center of New England (VBOC of NE) that focuses on assisting veterans, active duty service members and their families with starting and growing their business. SDO is an agency which helps promote the development of Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE) business enterprises and non-profit organizations by becoming SDO certified. Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization
The Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is responsible for conducting the federally required metropolitan transportation planning process for the Boston metropolitan area. The MPO uses this process to develop a vision for transportation in the region and to decide how to allocate federal and state transportation funds to transportation programs and projects that improve roadway, transit, bicycle, and pedestrian infrastructure. The vision established by the MPO is integral to each of the certification documents that the MPO is required to produce: the Long-Range Transportation Plan, Transportation Improvement Program, and Unified Planning Work Program.

Route 1/1A Corridor Mobility Study

Emergency Preparedness Resources for Business (in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation)

• Readiness for Resilience (R4R) Program
The U.S. Chamber Foundation's R4R Program, developed in partnership with FedEx, guides businesses on building an emergency action plan through an easy-to-follow checklist found here. Once a business completes that checklist, they become eligible to receive a $5,000 grant should FEMA issue an Individual Assistance declaration in their county.

• Disaster Help Desk for Business
The Disaster Help Desk for Business offers one-on-one expert assistance to small business owners before, during, and after a disaster strikes. From preparing for hurricane and wildfire season to unexpected floods or power outages, our team can help businesses in any disaster stage.
